Thailand Sounds

After Kindrogan and a week back at work, we were off to Thailand via China on 23 June. We arrived in a hot and humid Phuket around midnight, noting Paddyfield Pipit, Indian Roller, Peaceful Dove and Large-billed Crow around our hotel the next morning. We then headed to Khao Sok National Park on the mainland to the north for a few days, relaxing in a tree house surrounded by beautiful limestone hills cloaked in rainforest. Here are a couple of sound recordings made: the first is the melodic song of a male White-rumped Shama, a little distant off the trail; the second is of a Red Junglefowl, wild ancestor of the domestic chicken!
