I've uploaded two more slideshows from Bosque del Apache to my main photography site. Please visit the following links for better quality versions (and with a smooth transition in IE at least):

I never get tired of these! Great pics! That sunset-and-mountain-with-cranes-and-geese one is AMAZING!

Thanks Nicole!

Looks like an absolutely incredible place for bird watchers. Is this place easy to get to? The pictures are fantastic as usual.

Ditto. The Snow Geese in pic 11 is excellent - especially liking the (I am assuming intentional) abstractness. Good stuff.

Thanks Suz. Yes, fairly straightforward, about an hour and a half south of Albuquerque airport with lots of accommodation in the nearby town of Socorro. All the birds are very close and accessible. I'll write up a trip report soon.

Thanks nfb - yes, so many geese in some frames that its difficult to make out they are geese!

Absolutely brilliant pics, Fraser - I've always wanted to go there but not yet managed it. The light looks stunning and very well conveyed in your images. Let's talk about an article in birdwatch, maybe?

Thanks Dominic. Definitely worth thinking about going there! I'd be very interested in writing a photo article for the magazine.
